Hair = much shorter and choppier with big red chunky highlights. This will be one of the few frivolous spending things I do for myself (financial lockdown about to be on). Best part? $45! Yes, you read that right. It pays to make friends with hairapists in a new place!

Might have found a place to live. Townhouse in Newport News (farther than I'd like to be from work, but not horribly so and much, much cheaper rent than what I have looked at in town) that seems ok with the dogs. It looks nice from the pictures, even though it is a townhouse (dammit, I'm too old to share a wall with someone). Going to see it this weekend hopefully, give them my rental ap and application fee. The kidlet will be here tomorrow though Wednesday (yeah!) so I figured it was best to see it while she is here.

Housekeeping note

If you notice that my blog seems a little less long and historical, it's just because I went through and deleted some old posts that were a part of my life I no longer want to think about. Would you believe I also blew away four years of journaling on another site? Life goes on, fresh and new.

Sometimes you have to realize that you have done all you can, bared your soul, put yourself out there and when it all comes down to it, then you just have to let go and wait and see what happens. In the meantime, you live your life the best you can for yourself and those you hold dearest.
